The purpose of the cooperation is to integrate Trucknet’s system and jointly promote activities with haulage companies and storage centers, transfer information to the port and integrate systems for the purpose of improving and streamlining services and supply chains.
Mr. Hanan Fridman, CEO of Trucknet announces, ” Haifa Port is one of the major players in Israel’s logistics chain, providing services to thousands of customers and trucks, daily. The use of our platform will enable optimization of truck traffic to and from the port and will reduce traffic of empty trucks in the port and on national roads.
The port management comprehended that extensive use of the Trucknet Platform by haulage companies and storage centers would lead to a reduction in the overall travel of trucks on the roads, to the regulation of truck drivers’ hours of operation, minimization of waiting times and a reduction in the amount of pollutant emissions. We demonstrated that the Trucknet Platform is highly relevant to port activities and customers and will allow optimization of truck traffic to and from the port while reducing empty truck traffic in the port and on national roads. Furthermore, the Trucknet Platform will enable the Port to receive timely and accurate information that anticipates (and in the future even manage) the arrival times of trucks to the port, thereby providing a more efficient level of service to port customers throughout the day and night.
It will be clarified that due to this technology creating a WIN-WIN situation and insofar the haulage companies and storage centers assimilate our technology, Haifa port management anticipates being an active partner in the implementation and expansion of the technology.
Mr. Mendi Zaltzman, Haifa Port CEO announces: The port supports and is ready to promote innovative initiatives whose purpose is to reduce road traffic, improve and streamline the logistics chain and reduce pollutant emissions in Israel. We see Trucknet as a leader in innovative Israeli technology, and considering this technology creates a WIN-WIN situation, we anticipate being an active partner in implementing and expanding the use of this technology, while improving the port’s profitability and efficiency.
